(In particular, finding vulnerabilities in Java source code). Write security controls for scanning source code. Open Source SonarQube. This candidate must have an understanding of how vulnerabilities occur and how to identify them in source code using static analysis. Mid to Senior Level (4+ years) knowing the types of vulnerabilities, and how to implement in code and report back to the users This candidate will have a background in writing SonarQube rules in Java. If the candidate does not have this skill, the candidate must have a strong Java development background and the ability to learn the SonarQube API quickly. The candidate will benefit from having prior experience using and writing rules for static analysis tools such as Checkmarks, Fortify, Sonarqube, Veracode. Where possible please attach any examples of previously written rules for SonarQube as an example of experience. Must have: Demonstrated software development proficiency in Java (C++/C#/ Python - all plusses) Syntax Experience with development tools: Maven, Gradle, GitHub, Jenkins, JFrog, Ansible, IntelliJ, Eclipse Experience working with static analyzers (Fortify, Veracode, Semmle, Checkmarks). Knowledge of OWASP Top 10. Experience in source code auditing. Passion for building effective security solutions that perform at scale. Ability to learn quickly, comprehend and retain information, and apply knowledge when and where relevant. Ability to deliver in a fast paced environment. Strong written and oral communication skills. Top Three Skills Writing SonarQube Rules (80% will be coding, 20% scripting, providing support, researching vulnerabilities) **Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and experience using static code analysis to find security issues, **-good understanding of security and security vulnerabilities **Java Development Experience: **Java proficiency: open source code, someone that could modify code would be sufficient, a little bit of development. Will be writing SonarQube rules from scratch using Java.
