Skills • May require a bachelor degree in Computer science and 5 to 8 years of experience in the field. • Proficiency in the following general areas: Java (Java 1.7/Java 1.8), Spring Framework, Jenkins, Gradle, and Github. • Experience with RESTful services, Rabbit MQ, JSON, Unix Scripting, and Hadoop is a plus. • Core development experience in large scale enterprise Java applications using Spring Framework. • Experience in SQL (DB2 & SQL databases) • Demonstrates strong understanding of the business needs driving the projects. Responsibilities • Design and development of high quality distributed Java middleware, data-flows, and automated unit tests • Participation in stand-up and grooming meetings • Partnership with other developers and participation in peer code reviews to ensure quality deliveries and share knowledge and experience • Partnership with QA to ensure quality deliveries • Partnership with DevOps personnel to deliver and provide escalation support of solutions in production environments Required Skills · May require a bachelors degree in Computer science and 8 to 10 years of experience in the field · 8+ years of experience with development of enterprise applications using Java, Spring, web services (REST and SOAP / JAX-RS and JAX-WS) · Experience with distributed messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and databases (Oracle and NoSQL/MongoDB) · Experience with Linux deployment environments · Self-driven and able to work independently · Adaptability to a fast paced and constantly changing environment Desired Skills / Nice to Have · Strong abstract thinking · Working knowledge of industry best practices · Knowledge and experience with secure coding practices and industry standard transport security methodologies. · Experience with virtualization/cloud technologies, such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenStack, and/or AWS · Experience with distributed computing and big data systems, such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, NIFI, and/or StreamSets · Development and automation tools, such as: Maven, Git, GoCD, Ansible · Frameworks: Spring Boot, JUnit, Mockito, Apache CXF Notes : Due to new MSP guidelines we can only use subcontractor candidates who require sponsorship, other candidates sourced from vendors will need to work on Apexs W2 in exchange for referral fee.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
