Provide support to in-house writers with filing applications and office actions. Support includes but is not limited to: Preparation of formal documents for the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and maintenance of US and foreign patent prosecution case files. Work with US and non-US outside counsel. Prepare and file electronic filings at USPTO (US, PCT) and update Legal department databases with data and documents for worldwide patent prosecution. Assist HP attorneys with invention disclosure review processes and other projects not directly related to specific patent application files. Provide support to more senior paralegals. Prepare incoming mail for uploading into the departments patent tracking system and process invention disclosures. Ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities, meet critical deadlines, work within a team, and demonstrate initiative. Willingness to adapt to changes in attorney support. Ability to work under limited supervision on moderately complex assignments, requiring ordinary problem resolution and independent judgment.
