Description:

Continue development of the Connecticut Technical Education and Career Systems Work Production Systems. The items covered it this Scope of Work will be: 1) Expand the system to include the Transportation trades and Veterinary Sciences. 2) Create an end-user friendly reports section and features that will allow for administrative-level functions. 3) Update the workflows within the system that may have been impacted due to permissions and/or licensing changes during CTECS migration to Office 365. 4) Update system permissions to be more granular.

II. Work Production System Requirements:

The system being upgraded is propriety Work Production System and previous SharePoint development experience is required. The continued development will address some primary concerns from the system owners and users, as long as adding the transportation trades and veterinary science into the system.

a. The system will need to be expanded to include the transportation trades (automotive technology, collision repair, diesel) and veterinary science. These trades will not require extensive workflows as the construction trades did, as all these offerings will be solely on-campus.

b. Create end-user friendly reports and functions for administrative-level users. These will include but are not limited to: 1) Number of jobs sent to school 2) Number of jobs rejected by school 3) Number of jobs completed by school 4) Total revenue received by school for completed jobs.

c. Test and confirm that all workflows within the system are working as intended. moved to use the Office 365 tenant, cttech.org, as the primary email tenant for all users in October 2020. After this migration there have been some permissions and/or licensing issues impacting the workflows. will work with contractor to ensure we have all proper licensing in place for any admin/service accounts required to keep workflows running correctly.

d. Update end-user permissions so that users will only be able to see the jobs assigned to their school and shop. Currently users can see all jobs assigned to their school, regardless of shop. Permissions should be narrowed down so only users assigned to a particular shop can see the associated jobs.

III. Timeline:

Each of the requirements above will have a specified time that it will need to be completed by:

a. Fixing the existing workflows as outlined above, will be completed ASAP and should the first focal point once work on the system has commenced.

b. Creating the administrative level auditing tools and functions will be completed by 05/31/21 in order to be used for analysis over the summer months.

c. Adding Veterinary Sciences and Transportation trades to the system will be completed by 07/31/21 so that they will be available once the 21-22 school year begins.
