DMHAS is seeking a self-sufficient Application Developer who can lead the project and the work which includes debugging, form design, database interfaces and connectivity. Duties include: • Ability to quickly assimilate complex business language, rules and processes. • Experience troubleshooting and mitigating system errors. • Design, modify, and debug MS Access 2003 software components including VBA code, forms, and reports. • Facilitation of technical and business meetings to facilitate development and support activities. • Create Business requirements and Design specifications. • Prepare necessary procedural specifications to meet Requirements/Specs. • Create ad-hoc SQL to research data questions and/or issues. • Setup databases using Microsoft Access per the given instructions and modifying them to accommodate system requirements. • Testing the system at each stage of the development phase and identifying bugs which could result in negative user experience and to ensure superior performance of the database system across various platforms. • Document changes and updates regarding the system so that all parties are acquainted with the changes and modifications to the system prior to implementation. • Providing on-site support to end users of the system. • Making necessary modifications to the system on the basis of user feedback and improving the overall usability of the system by providing regular system updates. • Experience with MS Access data transformations and mappings. • Ability to write Technical Manuals and provide system training/support to new and existing users. • Provide full life cycle project ownership from analysis to application development to delivery of IT solutions; contribute to documentation initiatives as needed; contribute to group knowledge and best practices; interact with end users, other analysts and management. • Possess highly developed analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize and create a cohesive picture from a wide variety of information types and sources. • Independent and self-starter. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and to produce insightful and reliable solutions. • Organizational maturity. Ability to build cooperative, productive relationships with internal clients and information sources. • The ability to work independently and with those in various departments and areas not directly reporting to the I.T. Division. • Ability to work with and support Senior Management and to disseminate and summarize information into a format that can facilitate high level decision making processes. • Keen attention to detail. • Good conceptual skills, with high-quality oral and written communications abilities to interact closely with members of Management, IT, and Business Owners/Teams. 3.
