The candidate must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and via email in English. Essential Job Responsibilities: 1.Delivery of Oracle database consulting services to our client base. This includes installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, performance tuning and backup/recovery of Oracle databases running Oracle 11gR2 on Linux and Windows environments. 2.Knowledge of monitoring systems, alerting and troubleshooting as necessary. 3.Planning and executing Database upgrades and migrations. 4.Database tuning and understanding the relationship between Oracle, operating systems, storage, and networking as they relate to performance problems. 5.Assisting in developing database monitoring processes. 6.Identifying and implementing database parameter changes to ensure optimum DB performance and reliability. 7.Assisting in backup procedures and DR activities for clients. 8.Implementing/configuring Oracle Management Packs. 9.Ensure effective flow of communication between the client, support team and management. Key knowledge, skills, or abilities: •Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. •BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience. •Candidates with Oracle certification(s) are preferred. •Experience working in a 24x7 environment. •Shell/Perl scripting with a focus in automation. •Experience implementing/configuring RAC on Linux and Windows is required. •Ability to work in a self-directed environment. •At least 5 years of experience with Oracle Database Administration. •At least 3 years of experience working with Oracle Database 10gR2 and 11R2. •Experience with DataGuard and RMAN is required. •Working knowledge of Operating Systems (Linux and Windows) •Have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills – The Administrator will be working very closely with our US Data Center and Client Care teams. •Interact with the multiple process owners in the US to understand requirements and communicate feedback /solutions. •Following all Information/Physical Security Policies and Procedures. •Able to work holidays, weekends, late nights or extended hours as business needs dictate. •Stability in their professional career is an important factor.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
