Job Description Developer: Design And Development, Web Server Experience, Operating Systems, IDS CMS Configuration Testing Background

*Description:
The Client prides itself on being one of the premier University in the State of Florida , and as such, wants to convey this premier image through its website. The University requires the following attributes in the development, implement and host of the website.

*Required Skills:
Exchange 2010 and Office 365 for email
*Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Mac O/S operating
systems
*Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, and 2013 for PC productivity suites
*Firefox, IE, and Chorme for browser useage
The University anticipates five (5) phases of activities for website development
(intranet and internet), but will entertain other approaches if thought to provide an
enhanced plan.
A. Phase 1 – Conceptual Design and Website
B. Phase 2 – Development Phase
C. Phase 3 – Conversion of Existing Website and Implementation
Migrate existing content from current CMS to new vendor supplied CMS
a) Preserve graphics, content, layout and navigation.
i. Current CMS refers to: test.famu.edu
ii. Existing Content refers to (text, images, links, videos,
slideshows, navigation,etc) from approximately 5600 web pages.
b) Test and ensure that website will function correctly on all major desktop,
mobile and tablet device browsers including:
i. Apple Safari 5.1, iPhone, iPad
ii. Microsoft IE8+, Edge
iii. Mozilla Firefox 5+
iv. Google Chrome 35+
v. Google Android
D. Phase 4 – Training and Initial Support
The orginial soucre for training matierals and documentation is required.
E. Phane 5 – Hosting and Website Maintenance
The University anticipates that the website will be hosted by the vendor
and that the vendor will provide on-going maintenance. The typical contract
would be for three (3) years with three (3), one (1) year options to renew.
Final determination as to who will host the site may be a part of the
Universitys final negotiations.
1. This includes the provisioning and management of the server(s),
network connectivity, operating system, database, web server, and
CMS software, (and any other items that relate to hosting). The site
recieves approximately 850K hits per month.
2. Describe hosting architecture which illustrates redundandcy and shows
no single point of failure.
3. Describe your security posture. Include items such as approach to
access control throughout the various tiers, OS/System configuration,
hardening and patch management, network hardware and tools (IDS,
firewalls, etc), vulnerability and penetration testing, log reviews,
security audits (internal and external), etc.
4. Perform backup, recovery and Disaster recovery
a. Describe backup frequency and methodology. Provide RPO and RTO in the event of a disaster
b. Perform annual Disaster recovery test and report results
5. Monitor and generate reports for uptime and performance
6. Provide Disaster Recovery site separate from hosting site
7. Service Level Agreement to include penalties incurred for failing to meet
SLA on uptime, performance, trouble ticket response, DR failure, etc.
The University is interested in engaging a firm with the following qualifications:
A. Experience in website design, development, implementation, and
maintenance.
B. Significant experience in website design for the public sector ? primarily
Universities similar to the complexity and service offerings of Florida
A&M University.
C. The ability to provide an innovative, unique, flexible design that meets
the requirements of the University.
D. Has the company depth and knowledge of the latest technical tools
available in the marketplace that will allow the University to achieve its
goals and objectives with its website re-design.
