The Project Manager must be able to follow State, Department, OIT, and Application Services processes and procedures. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI) is highly desired. This Project Manager must have experience with following the requirements of Rule 74-1, F.A.C. which establishes the project management and oversight standards the Department must adhere to when implementing technology projects. The selected candidate must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of the FDOT project development methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques. The Project Manager must be able to manage multiple statewide, large, and/or cross-functional projects of high complexity. 5 Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Communications or another related field. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI) is highly desired. 6 Experience Four or more years of professional experience in Project Management. Experience in managing IT projects preferred. 7 Primary Job Duties/ Tasks 1. Coordinates and integrates oversight for multiple projects. 2. Manages, leads, or administers OIT project resources. 3. Monitors project deliverables and activities to mitigate risk. 4. Monitors, implements, and/or maintains quality assurance processes. 5. Monitors and facilitates change control management throughout the lifecycle of the project. 6. Evaluates, monitors, or ensures compliance with state, federal and FDOT/OIT laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures. 7. Ensures compliance with the Department of Management Services (DMS) standards for Project Management and Oversight. 8. Provides input into Application Services project management methods and practices. 8 Job Specific Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs): 1. Knowledge of the principles, methods, practices, tools and techniques outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) (current version). 2. Knowledge of various types of contracts, and development techniques for procurement documents such as; Requests for Quotes (RFQ), Requests for Purchase (RFP), Invitation to Bid (ITB), Invitation to Negotiate (ITN), and Single Source. 3. Skill in the use of the methods and tools used for risk assessment and mitigation of risks. 4. Ability to coordinate and manage projects and resources from a high level, including cost, work, and Vendor performance. 5. Ability to categorize work, set priorities, and determine short and/or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them. 6. Ability to accurately estimate time requirements for assigned tasks for a project; 7. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and prioritize work assignments; 8. Ability to put these ideologies, techniques, and tools into practice. 9.
