TYPICAL TASKS: · Continually evaluates customers security needs for IT applications and evaluates the current options available to meet those needs · Defines and prioritizes IT project requirements · Develops time and cost estimates, project plans and budget · Establishes IT policy and participates in the coordination of systems administration and network administration · Interviews, hires, directs, trains, evaluates the performance of, and when necessary, disciplines and discharges IT employees · Manages human resources and directs administrative activities for IT employees · Monitors the staffs installations, maintenance, and support of IT product/services · Oversees the development and implementation of IT projects and initiatives · Oversees the evaluation of the units internal processes, procedures, and technologies to improve efficiency and ensure quality · Provides expert assistance to customers in planning their IT needs · Schedules downtime and preventive maintenance activities required to keep all equipment in good operating condition · Serves as a link between vendors and IT staff by providing information and guidance in acquiring relevant products and services · Works with other IT managers, staff and vendors as needed, in order to provide timely and efficient IT coordination in providing services to meet customers requests · During an Emergency Preparedness situation as determined by the Health Director, staff must be available 24/7 throughout the event. Staff will be assigned duties and responsibilities as appropriate which may or may not include typical job descriptions · Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in information technology or a related field from an accredited college or university AND eight (8) years of job specific experience that includes extensive experience in information and data management, logistics and business/process improvement. Palo Alto Firewalls. Candidate will need to possess a good understanding of ingress and egress flows for the firewall. Candidate will also need to have a good understanding of NAT translations. Vmware Candidate will need a firm grasp of how a vmware environment is configured for best practices and how to support any balancing/troubleshooting issues.
