This includes assisting with the definition and documentation of the applications quality assurance process in order to deliver application development projects to a high degree of quality. This individual will manage multiple vendors integrating them into the organizations processes. The individual will also work tightly with other personnel including Solutions Analysts and Application Development leads to ensure seamless transitions. Roles and Responsibilities: Assists with the development of test strategies, creation of appropriate test harnesses and implementation of on-going metrics. Hands on while leading a team of analysts in the development and execution of test plans; and monitoring and reporting on test execution. Directs the coordination and facilitation of testing efforts, schedules, planning, and resources across the product/software development teams to meet product delivery timeframes. Communicates application release status, including issue/defect metrics, code coverage metrics, critical path and testing status. Leads a team of vendor and staff resources to enhance processes and workflows which maximize efficiency, maintain high level of Quality Assurance, and comply with regulatory and audit requirements. Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and are able to synthesize the results. Effectively work with the IT Sourcing Lead to define QA needs, select appropriate vendors and manage on-going vendor relationships. Coordinates and facilitates testing communications with project managers and application management. Ensures that accepted methodologies and best practices are utilized to address QA/Test needs. Proactively identifies, manages and makes recommendations to mitigate delivery risk. Continually reviews and analyzes the teams methodologies and strategies for consistency, content, clarity, style, cross functional touch points and milestones. Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: Demonstrated leadership ability. Operates under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. Experience using integrated management & governance process automation (e.g. PPM, ITSM Strong knowledge of QA concepts, methodology and tools. Ability to analyze alternatives and implement systems which are responsive to organizations requirements. Furnish top-level advice and consultation regarding subject matter expertise. Able to work under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines, adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Ability to work on multiple projects while providing leadership and coordination to virtual staff. Ability to effectively direct, evaluate and retain a large professional third party staff. Excellent, consulting, communication and organization skills. TFS experience CSQE certification a plus.
