Job Description : -Looking for an experienced Java Developer to help on a team that is moving old mainframe technology (DB2ii) and moving it to a distributed platform (WebSphere). -Need the Mainframe knowledge, COBOL would be a plus. -Java Batch experience preferred. -Need someone to jump right in to this project. -DB2 knowledge, oracle knowledge, SQL knowledge. -No remote work, prefer that they are on-site. -Group of Developers sit in India, some sit remote, and 1 other -Developer is in the office. This team is 15 people total, with various other IT members on staff. They have SMEs in the different technologies that can help the Developers with questions. -Currently an Agile environment, this experience would be preferred. Somewhat working with Waterfall, would prefer someone that can function with both. -Needing someone to take the design work given and run with it. -This is a collaborative role, not just heads down, so this person will need great communication skills and the ability to work with others. -Area they are working in deals with commission work, billing, insurance based letters. -Reason for these openings are they have too much work for the members on the team, needing Developers to help out. -No possibility of extending a year at this time, no possiblity to go FTE. -Communciation skills a huge part of this role.
