The project manager will be working primarily on Department of Revenue projects. These projects will mostly center on application development but there may be a little bit of work on infrastructure projects. The development environment utilizes mostly .Net. with a SQL server back-end. The PM MUST have experience working on an application development team. The PM will work in mostly a traditional waterfall methodology. The will be working on concurrent projects, medium in size in effort. Understand the overall business and strategic initiative goals as well as the timelines of those goals. Develop efficient and reliable metrics for measuring program and project progress towards those goals. Work to ensure that vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations by delivering quality products and services on time. Proven ability to develop effective relationships and to work at all levels of the company including senior and executive management. Experience working effectively across divisional or department lines in a complex organization. Experience negotiating with external vendors and partnering on implementation or maintenance of 3rd party applications. Results oriented and possess excellent analytical, facilitation and strategic planning skills. Extensive experience with medium-scale projects and program management; including skills and in depth understanding of project management methodology, project management planning, issue tracking and reporting, etc on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Usually reports to a senior manager.
