The Technology Account Manager serves as a liaison between the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and one or more agencies. The Technology Account Manager ensures that operations are running smoothly, provides expertise on technical services, assist agencies with information technology (IT) planning and management of their IT budget, and responds to requests for service support and billing question under the direction of the OCIO Agency Services Division Administrator. The Technology Account Manager is focused on ensuring that the OCIO and its service partners understand and meet agency expectations and needs. Responsibilities Include: Customer Relationship Manager/Liaison •Responsible for all aspects of an agencys relationship with the OCIO. Works closely with a Department Director and their leadership team to ensure that each agency receives the highest standard of service. •Responsible for making sure all IT operations run efficiently and that agencies recognize a return on their investment. •Ensure that agencies have an advisor, partner, representative, and advocate that understands their needs. •Provide OCIO executive leadership team with status on overall performance of IT services and alignment with agency expectations. Technology Advisor •Provide advice to agency directors with regard to IT staffing, projects and investments •Assist agency in determining buy, build or partner decisions. Identify the information and resource requirements for the key stages of the agencies information technology business need, assisting with preparing proposals, agency evaluation and supplier selection. Set up meetings with decision makers, and arrange presentations and documentation to ensure state agencies information technology needs are met. •Coordinate agency participation in new and emerging enterprise IT innovation projects. IT Planning Resource •Coordinate customer agency IT planning. •Proactively lead an agency IT strategic planning process that develops performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a short-term and long term.
