The Program Manager (PM) mentor, counsel and direct vendors to enforce and document accountability to project deliverables. Assist in review of vendor proposals and project plans and identify alternatives when necessary. Manage the vendor portfolio from a strategic vendor relationship management prospective. Understand the overall business and strategic initiative goals as well as the timelines of those goals. Develop efficient and reliable metrics for measuring program and project progress towards those goals. Work to ensure that vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations by delivering quality products and services on time. Proven ability to develop effective relationships and to work at all levels of the company including senior and executive management. Experience working effectively across divisional or department lines in a complex organization.
