The project consists of contracted development of distinct Remsoft Spatial Planning System (RSPS)-based forest harvest models for each of IDLs ten supervisory areas. IDLs existing Remsoft model for the St. Joe Supervisor Area will be used as the starting point and basis for each of the subsequent models. Responsibilities include: * Document model requirements gathering and design workshops, including requirements, process flows, swim lanes, etc. * Evaluate relevant agency policies and create associated standard procedures for understanding and use by area foresters and other stakeholders * Edit contractor end-user process documentation for use by area foresters and other stakeholders * Provide additional business analysis and technical writing support to the Land Information Management System (LIMS) project as required Although the Estimated Completion Date on this PSO ends with the termination date of the state IT Services Contracts on June 30, 2018, the intended term of engagement for this position is until December 31, 2018, as IDL extends this PSO. This non-binding intention is not an obligation on the part of the State and depends on contract administration actions optionally to be taken by the State Division of Purchasing outside the control of the issuing agency. A limited amount of in-state travel will be required to attend internal ID meetings and workshops. IDL requires that the Business Process Analyst selected for this position enter into a confidentiality agreement. Principal work location is IDLs Coeur dAlene Staff Office, located at 3284 West Industrial Loop, Coeur dAlene, ID, 83815. Agency Expected Deliverables The Business Process Analyst will coordinate with the Harvest Model and LIMS project managers, CIO, and other project stakeholders to: * Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. * Facilitate the discovery of as-is and to-be business processes * Develop, enhance and maintain user and technical documentation and project process documentation for multiple applications and business processes * Perform workflow design and process improvement * Develop on-line and off-line end-user focused help documentation * Ensure appropriate control access/use of documentation materials * Ensure messages and terminology is consistent across all written materials Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.) Experience: Four (4) years plus of Business Analysis and Technical Writing experience Education: Four (4) year college degree or equivalent technical study Description of skill and knowledge required include: * Documents business processes in a manner that facilitates long-term maintenance, business process automation, and process improvement * Understands the users view of applications and /or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence * Basic working knowledge of forestry terminology and concepts preferred * Basic working knowledge of harvest modeling concepts preferred * Microsoft Office and Visio proficiency required   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
