The Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting and documenting high level, mid-level, and detailed business, functional, non-functional, integration, and system requirements. The Business Analyst will collaborate with the Project Manager, the IT team and the business to develop an RFP for software selection and implementation. This is a two-phase project, beginning with timber scaling, which includes mobile data collection and central processing components. The second phase of the project is to replace the timber settlement function currently based on custom development within Microsoft Dynamics NAV with a configurable COTS solution natively integrated with the timber scaling system. Responsibilities include: - Establish relationships with and elicit requirements from business and technical stakeholders - Review, analyze, validate, and communicate requirements throughout system implementation life cycle - Document business processes in a manner that facilitates long term maintenance, business process automation, and process improvement - Coordinate with other project team members to ensure and verify successful implementation of requirements - Collaborate with Contractor Business Analyst and other members of Contractor team - Assist in planning of and participate in User Acceptance Testing - Aid in design and delivery of system training - Follow clients IT business analysis processes Work location: clients Coeur dAlene office (3284 West Industrial Loop, Coeur dAlene, ID) Agency Expected Deliverables The Business Analyst will coordinate with the CIO, project manager, and project stakeholders to: - Develop project documentation including high level requirements and process workflows (“As-Is” and “To-Be”) - Draft, refine, and maintain business requirements, system (functional and non-functional) requirements, and report specifications - Draft, refine, and maintain Use Cases as needed - Engage with the software vendor (configurator) in design reviews to ensure conformance with business and functional requirements - Identify and communicate system implementation risks and mitigation strategies, issues, and process improvement opportunities to appropriate project team members and other stakeholders - Work with project management to understand the business strategy, goals, and objectives to ensure successful system implementation - Work with the software quality assurance analyst in development and execution of test plans and test cases - Develop training materials as needed Experience: Two plus years of experience Education: Four (4) year college degree or equivalent technical study Description of skills and knowledge include: - Expertise in business analysis within enterprise software implementation projects - Basic working knowledge of land management/natural resource terminology and concepts preferred - Basic working knowledge of enterprise system integration concepts - Basic working knowledge of data migration concepts - Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills - Limited in-state travel may be required   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
