Note :
* Im emailing this revised PSO to correct the total hours listed under the “Agency Project Scope” section. The correct number of total hours should be 1600 for two positions working 800 hours each.

* Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking two (2) Service Desk Technician 1s (Service Category 2) under the state IT services contracts for onsite support in our office located at: 11331 W. Chinden Blvd., (Building 8), Boise, ID 83714.
Description :
Agency Project Scope (Description of Work Needed - Additional background check requirements are to be added here)
It requires two (2) Service Desk Technician 1s to provide basic service desk support, to include:
• Workstation configuration and deployment. Must be able to lift computer equipment, have a valid drivers license and be able to travel to various State agencies within the Treasure Valley to provide in person support.
• Process employee account creations/terminations and system access changes related to onboarding/offboarding.
• Receive telephone calls and e-mails from users having problems using computer software and hardware or inquiring how to use specific software applications, electronic mail, or Windows operating system features.
• Ascertain the nature of problem; determine problem cause, provide basic troubleshooting, and make in the ITS Service Desk System.
• Escalate problems in accordance with defined ITS procedures.
• Assist users through problem solving steps
• Communicate accurate and useful status updates
• Pass ITS finger printing and IDOC background checks
• ITS will supply the computer, phone and work environment necessary to fulfill the duties as described above.
• Do not submit more than 4 responses (candidates)
• ITS reserves the right to cancel this request, or the contract at anytime
• ITS may not award a contract if the budget allocated for this service is exceeded based on responses.
• If the person selected does not meet service expectations, ITS will request a replacement or cancel the contract at our discretion.
• Estimated hours of 1600 is for two positions working 800 each.
Agency Expected Deliverables
• To function in the stated capacity as defined under the scope of work, Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm daily
• Punctuality and reliability are essential in this role
• Excellent communications and customer service skills are essential
• The ability to interpret customer technical issues and determine appropriate categories and relevant information for creating entries within the ITS service management system is essential
The place of work that these staff will be required to work at is located at:
11331 W. Chinden Blvd, Building 8, Boise 83714
Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.)
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office products, Office 365, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
• Strong understanding of the use of the Windows Desktop operating system, Windows 10
• Strong understanding of Active Directory for account management and group memberships
• Strong understanding of installing software requiring admin privileges
• Good computer data entry skills
• Good understanding and knowledge of Web Browsers, primarily Internet Explorer, Edge and Chrome
