This is the OPAL system. In addition, applicant will support Drivers License Central Issuance maintenance efforts. • Applicant will support the subject matter expert for software development, architecture, and database design best practices for the DMV Drivers License Central Issuance maintenance and middleware (OPAL) projects related to DMV Modernization. • Applicant will provide the development process for the OPAL Modernization project and assist in the build, testing, and deployment of releases for both Drivers License Central Issuance maintenance and OPAL. • Applicant will design and manage software solutions for the DMV Drivers License Central Issuance and OPAL Modernization projects • Applicant will create user and developer documentation for the DMV Central Issuance and OPAL Modernization projects Expected Deliverables: 1. Product coding to defined work projects related to DMV Drivers License and DMV Modernization (OPAL) middleware activities. 2. Documentation supporting the work products (user and developer) 3. Input (both written and verbal) to meetings related to the projects under development 4. Training plans for assisting existing IT staff in understanding and collaborating on assigned projects • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems degree or comparable industry experience • 4 + years professional software development experience • Familiar with mainframe technologies • Familiar with DataBus / DataPoint technologies • Familiar with PII best practices and policies • Proficient in C# • Proficient in ASP.net 4, and previous versions • Proficient in Design Patterns Best Practices such as IOC, Repository, etc • Proficient in SQL Server 2008 R2, and previous versions • Proficient utilizing the functional programming aspects of C# 4.0 • Proficient with Entity Framework 4.0 and Entity Framework 4.1 Code First • Experience building Bespoke Middleware Systems, using Service Buses, and EAI, ESB concepts • Proficient with NServiceBus 2.5 • Familiar with Microsoft Message Queuing • Experience integrating mainframe and .Net applications • Experience designing and implementing enterprise web applications • Experience working with Visual Studio 2010 • Experience working with Visual Studio 2010 Team Foundation Server • Experience implementing, and documenting software engineering design patterns • Experience implementing, and documenting SOAP based and RESTful solutions • Experience working with x509 security certificates and secured transport protocols. • Familiar with Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Design best practices • Proficient documenting application architecture, source code, and data modeling • Experience mentoring team members in software architecture, design, implementation, and documentation • Handle problem resolution, and root cause analysis at every level.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
