Client Info : Idaho Dept of Lands Description : Serve as the IDL Business Analyst providing tier 2 and 3 help desk support, including implementing change requests into Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013. The Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting and documenting high level, mid-level, and detailed business, functional, non-functional, integration, and system requirements. Responsibilities include: * Resolve more complex issues with Microsoft Dynamics NAV requiring detailed application knowledge and/or analysis; these issues have been escalated from Tier 1 * Establish relationships with and elicit requirements from business and technical stakeholders * Review, analyze, validate, and communicate requirements throughout bug fix/change request implementation lifecycle * Document business processes in a manner that facilitates long term maintenance, business process automation, and process improvement * Coordinate with other project team members to ensure and verify successful implemenation of requirements * Collaborate with vendor * Functional testing to validate solution aligns with requirements * Plan and facilitate User Acceptance Testing * Aid in design and delivery of system training * Follow IDL IT business analysis processes Work location: IDL Coeur dAlene Office (preferred) – (3284 West Industrial Loop, Coeur dAlene, ID) – OR – IDL Boise Staff office (300 N. Sixth Street, Boise, ID) Agency Expected Deliverables The Business Analyst will coordinate with the IT Database and Applications Manager, other business analysts, and project stakeholders to: * Communication with customers and documentation of analysis of issues in help desk system * Develop project documentation including high level requirements, process workflows (“As-Is” and “To-Be”), and logical data models * Draft, refine, and maintain business requirements, system (functional and non-functional) requirements, and report specifications * Draft, refine, and maintain Use Cases and/or User Stories, as needed * Engage with the software vendor in design reviews to ensure conformance with business and functional requirements * Identify and communicate system implementation risks and mitigation strategies, issues, and process improvement opportunities to appropriate project team members and other stakeholders * Development and execution of test plans and test cases * Develop training materials as needed Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.) Experience: Two plus years of experience Education: Four (4) year college degree or equivalent technical study Description of skills and knowledge include: * Expertise in business analysis within enterprise software implementation projects * Basic working knowledge of land management/natural resource terminology and concepts preferred * Basic working knowledge of enterprise system integration concepts * Basic working knowledge of data migration concepts * Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills * Limited in-state travel may be required   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
