Job Description Developer: .Net, C#, ASP.Net, ADO.NET XML DHTML VB Script Javascript C

[Note :
1) This requirement will be an ongoing long term contract and we can do Skype interview if need be for out of town candidates. Paperwork process takes 3-4 weeks once submitted.

Client currently have an immediate opening for a Lead .NET Developer that is excellent with VB.NET and VB6.
The qualified candidate will serve as a senior .NET developer responsible for assisting the Office of Quality Improvement in converting OQP Toolbar tools into the .NET framework. The candidate will work without technical oversight and will be considered a .NET expert.

This candidate should be able to:
# Analyze the current Visual Basic 6.0 environment and provide recommendations for improvement in the VB.net environment.
# Plan, direct, and execute activities throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
# Communicate and apply software development industry best-practices and expertise.
# Accurately document technical specifications.
# Peer review code of other developers and make suggestions for improvement.
# Provide thought leadership to the customer.

Skills Requirements:

Demonstrated proficiency in .NET development, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, VB, XML, XSLT, DHTML, VB Script, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, SQL.



Experience in ODBC, JDBC, XSLT, Web Services, SOA, CSS.

Experience in SQL Server 2008 and stored procedures.

Knowledge of CICS and DB2; Microsoft Access; IIS, mySQL.

Ability to work in multi-functional teams.

11 years experience in enterprise web application and database development with a practical working knowledge of concepts and implementation.

Experience in Report Development.

Demonstrated proficiency with .NET design and development including OOD / OOP, C#, ASP.NET, XML

Demonstrated proficiency with ASP.NET Concepts, Microsoft MVC Framework, Control Development / Integration, Page life Cycle Workflow, and Extensibility.

Experience with Ajax, JavaScript, XHTML.

Experience with ADO.NET and other .NET data mechanisms.

Demonstrated proficiency with Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 including significant exposure to .NET 3.5 or above.

Demonstrated proficiency with SQL Server 2005 / 2008, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Server (SSAS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Experience with Web Standards and Development Concepts.


Experience with Source Control programs such as MKS or Visual Source Safe.

Experience in requirements evaluation (translating functional specifications into technical solutions).

Strong analytical, organizational and hands-on problem solving skills

Excellent communication skills

Education and Certifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in computer science or a related discipline, with 11 years of professional experience.
