Alternate location Mossville IL building AC. Typical Day: A typical day will be spent by developing designs in CREO, developing prints, answering emails regarding deviations, factory support requests, and sourcing investigations while attending meetings on various NPI/CPI projects. Design work will be done to create and develop design concepts, and analyze them for introduction within CPI, NPI, or NTI programs. A lot of coordination is required with the internal factories, machine teams, other internal component teams, validation teams, and purchasing/procurement teams. APQP and PPAP rigor will be emphasized as well as focus on putting Drive train parts thru Source Council. Education Requirement: Bachelors degree in engineering required. 5-7 years experience required. Technical Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving capability. Desirable to have prior design experience, particularly in Drive train, electric drive or battery electric space. Solid engineering background, with experience in developing and maintaining prints, and working with detailing to create prints. CREO, APQP, PPAP experience preferred. Soft Skills Required: Ability to work as part of a team along with the ability to build inclusive relationships across multiple functional areas (design, manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain). Excellent written and verbal communication in order to be able to present and document design concepts and explain pros/cons.
