ABOUT THE POSITION The SFMC Mobile Development Team is seeking a Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development of new features and maintenance of existing features for our industry leading on-demand mobile solutions. You will work closely with the Mobile Development Managers to clarify product requirements and implement them. As a member of the SFMC Development Mobile team, you will join a group of designers and developers who are experts in the latest software development technologies, including .NET, Web Services, XML, high-availability and distributed systems. Anything our customers need the application to do from data segmentation to SMS creation to back-end analysis - your team will be responsible for making a reality. RESPONSIBILITIES: Gather and Implement requirements based on design specifications. Provide maintenance support on existing code. Develop industry leading application architecture. Develop features and functions used by thousands of marquee clients in industries such as retail/direct marketing, travel, and enterprise. Research problems discovered by QA and develop solutions to the problems. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in business, software engineering or computer science. At least 10 years of technical experience in software development environment. Thorough technical knowledge of the following programming languages and environments is required: Object Oriented Development - Familiarity with classical programming concepts such as polymorphism, inheritance, and encapsulation. C# SQL Server 2005/2008 Visual Studio .NET 2008/2010 Excellent debugging and problem solving skills. Good understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance Expertise in the following are a plus: Development and utilization of SOAP & REST based APIs SQL Performance tuning JavaScript - understanding and use of the DOM, JSON, object-oriented JavaScript, and Ajax XHTML and CSS Understanding of W3C standards and experience in addressing cross-browser and platform compatibility issues Security patterns and practices.
