The ideal candidate will have an engaging personality with the ability to communicate and engage all levels of the program and user community. Individual selected must be comfortable with technology, possess good analytical skills, have proven sql experience, and superior customer service skills. Incumbent will spend a significant amount of their time with clients providing technical leadership to ensure that business requirements are being identified and met in a timely manner Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Individual selected should be capable of acting as a liaison with stakeholders to understand the structure and processes of the Vital Records Program area, identify and define business problems, opportunities and needs, to enable OTC to assist in the delivery of solutions that support both IT and Business goals. The Business Analyst serves as a point of contact for program staff, customers, and vendors acting as a technical subject matter expert for Vital Records projects. They will provide technical support and work directly with customers to help solve their problems by optimizing how they utilize applications and solutions to meet their business needs. The Business Analyst provides knowledge and feedback to improve system usability, implementation efficiency and product supportability. This position requires an in-depth understanding of healthcare data and operations coupled with an extensive knowledge of large data set development, quantitative data analysis methodology and analytical tools for reporting. The Business Analyst will work independently on simple to complex projects and may assist other senior staff on projects. Individual will needs to have a high level of verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently. Job Requirements: Ability to identify business requirements by establishing a rapport with system users or other persons in a position to understand the requirements. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, with multiple and fluid demands. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to be able to successfully relate to internal and external customers of all levels. Ability to identify business and information needs, uncovering areas for improvement, develop appropriate business solutions, while working closely with internal developers and/or vendors on developing and implementing solutions. Ability to maintain effective and professional working relationships with internal and external customers, as well as vendors. Ability to provide ad hoc reports and metrics for users as needed. Ability to prioritize projects and address immediate technical needs as they arise. Ability to develop and manage both large and small scale projects. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies Ability to gather, read, analyze, and interpret complex data and create accurate meaningful information for data reporting and decision support.
