Job Description: Currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Senior Project Manager for our Maternal and Child Health (MCH) applications. These applications are used by CLIENT to improve the physical, socio-emotional health, safety, and well-being of all Client women, infants, children, adolescents, and their families. This position is housed within the Office of Application Technology Services (OATS) – Division of Social Support Systems (DSSS). This position is responsible for overseeing all facets of the MCH OATS technology team. The MCH PM will be responsible for initiating and coordinating meetings with stakeholders such as the Client Department for Public Health Infectious Disease Branch. Additional responsibilities are: Creating and executing project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Identifying resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities. Applying CLIENT OATS IT SDLC methodology and enforces project standards. Preparing for requirements reviews and quality assurance procedures. Minimizing exposure and risk on project. Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Tracking and reporting team project status to branch manager on a weekly basis or as needed. Facilitating team and client meetings effectively Communicates effectively to client on a daily/weekly basis. Manages client expectations. Holding regular status meetings with project team. Keeping project team well-informed of changes in project status. Conveying engaging, informative and well-organized presentations. Resolving and/or escalating issues in a timely fashion. Teamwork: Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team members contributions. Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential. Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner. Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members. Mitigates team conflict and communication problems. Essential skills: Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts. Possess general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design. Self-managed, highly motivated and has a strong drive for results. Skilled in managing a team. Desired Qualifications/Skills: Bachelors Degree or other advanced degree preferably in an IT related field. Professional Project Management Certification from accredited intuition preferred. Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods. Experience mentoring, coaching and developing rising talent in the technology department. Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others. Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams. Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
