The application suite is in the second year of development, so most technology and architecture decisions have been made. The current focus is integration of front office applications with new middle-tier cache, maintenance of production and sub-production environments, and extending the application to cover trade order management. Future focus will extend the application suite to cover Cash desks, APAC regional processing, cash management systems, projected and proposed data, and rapid loading of benchmark data. The Fixed Income & Cash application suite is built using .NET, Java, Oracle, Datomic and Odata technologies. Responsibilities Acting as System Architect evolve design of the common middle-tier memory cache Lead development of middle-tier cache using Datomic, sourcing data from Oracle OLTP database Participate in development of file-to-cache framework for rapid loading of large datasets from benchmark vendor files to memory cache Support middle tier integration using Odata protocol for Excel PowerQuery & .NET applications Evaluate .NET client application architecture and design, and propose changes to improve the supportability, maintainability and migration to new common middle-tier Assist data warehouse project team with root cause analysis and design approaches on occasion Evaluate and propose design options, seeking out the simplest design required Mentor and coach junior developers mostly offshore on software development best practices o Conduct and participate in design and code reviews o Insure unit testing, simple design and refactoring practiced Drive test driven development & continuous integration to further transition to Agile development methodology Required Experience & Qualifications 8+ years in software development with roles as lead developer and system architect 4+ years in Asset Management domain developing front, middle and/or back office applications Strong enterprise architecture, relational database design, and object oriented design skills Experience in .NET user interface, Java middle-tier and Oracle PL/SQL database with strong skills in at least two of three areas Experienced mentoring and coaching junior developers, especially offshore developers Strong documentation and communication skills Desired Experience & Qualifications Good understanding of Fixed Income and Money Markets; exposure to Exchange Traded Funds Experience developing middle-tier memory cache for use by front-office applications Exposure to Datomic distributed database technology or Datalog highly desirable Experience with OData data access protocol and web services such as REST or SOAP Exposure to Microsoft .NET (WPF and DevExpress) Experience with rules engines such as Drools bonus Experience with data warehouses using Star Schema and Cognos beneficial Experience in Unit Testing, Test Driven Development, Continuous Build and Integration Exposure to Agile software development and practitioner of Lean principles Strong organizational and prioritization skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
