The position requires expertise in Oracle and Microsoft database product families, data modeling, relational database technology, development of complex SQL, packages, functions and stored procedures, Windows and Linux scripting languages, and file transfer protocols. Responsibilities: 1. Quickly develop an understanding of complex data models and data. 2. Design, develop, test and implement new programs, as well as maintain and refine existing programs: 3. Develop test plans and perform unit and integration testing. Identify possible regression impacts and perform related testing. 4. Develop and monitor program runtime error and exception handling applications, using automated notification and self-correction techniques where appropriate. 5. Track errors and exceptions through to appropriate resolution. 6. Serve as a technical/business analyst, working with technical and non-technical personnel to define requirements. 7. Write and maintain technical documentation. 8. Maintain appropriate records regarding problem situations and their resolutions. 9. Perform related duties as required. Qualifications 1. Minimum five years of hands-on experience building data queries; writing SQL of a complex nature, developing data extraction and loading scripts, and developing Microsoft and Oracle packages, functions and stored procedures. 2. Excellent skills with Windows/Linux scripting languages, java, file transfer protocols. 3. Excellent problem-solving skills. 4. Proven ability to understand data exchange and interface requirements and utilize data extraction, transformation and load techniques. 5. Ability to monitor existing production programs and perform troubleshooting and performance tuning. 6. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques. 7. Experience with Oracle Data Integrator and GoldenGate is a plus. 8. Candidate must be mature and responsible and have strong written and oral communication skills. 9.
