The Project Manager should possess strong task tracking, reporting and interpersonal skills to assist the Atlas PMO with the project to convert third party service providers to a new electronic interface as well as build and implement additional transactions for their Electronic Vehicle Registration (EVR) business partners. This person will act as a Project Manager as part of the EVR project team and will work closely with PMO management, business SMEs, system integrators team and key business areas both internal and external to the Registry of Motor Vehicles. The PM must be able to adopt, thrive, navigate, and succeed in the acceptance of the system integrators methodology and tools, the MassDOT environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. The PM must be able to support high-level strategic initiatives and be able to interact with different levels within the organizational structure, and roll up his/her sleeves, dig in and get the job done. To succeed in this role, the PM should have excellent time management, communication and negotiations skills, as you will collaborate with RMV business associates and project team members to deliver results and meet deadlines. You will be required to adhere to all MassDOT security standards and directives. The PM will need to create and manage work plans and use appropriate project management tools to track progress in meeting deadlines and to achieve the projects goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management expertise, strong writing and editing skills, the ability to collaborate with multiple internal constituents; attention to detail and quality work; and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities • Ability to manage a project schedule; review risk and issue logs raising concerns to PMO management; produce status reports; and other project related activities as directed by the PMO. • Proven experience in negotiating and organizing project deliverables within a complex business environment in order to manage stakeholders expectations. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with both business and technical staff, verbal and written; proven ability to prepare PowerPoint presentations; work with spreadsheets. • Develop and execute communications with internal staff, business partners and service providers such as vehicle dealerships, municipal leaders and the general public. • Ability to organize, lead/present/participate in program meetings to discuss project status, manage risks, identify and implement solutions. Engage stakeholders and ensure that project milestones and deliverables are achieved as planned. • Monitor work progress and handle any issues that arise. • Work with the vendor to eliminate blockers. • Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance reviews. • Ability to work cohesively with multiple vendors. • Bachelors degree. • Minimum 5+ years project manager experience. • Experience within government a plus.
