The Program discipline Leads have tailored Software Development Life Cycle Guidelines which are repeatable, monitorable and predictable. The COMETS HD Program has an immediate contract position to assist the Quality Assurance Lead in execution of quality practices associated with the Software Development Life Cycle Major Responsibilities • Creates weekly and custom metrics reports based on stakeholder requests • Support to the program leadership team by analyzing and providing project metrics to measure project and resource performance • Produces weekly metrics reports at the project and steering committee meeting level • Assists with Lessons Learned input and presentation materials • Performs quality audits to ensure that the entire project and produced work products adhere to the Software Development Lifecycle procedures • Performs Quality Audits to maintain assets traceability relationships in SDLC tool sets • Assures adherence to change management process during SDLC phases • Identifies Software Development Lifecycle workflow areas for improvement • Supports continuous improvement and integration of quality assurance best practices • Fosters best practice adoption, creates appropriate tool set user guides • Attends milestone reviews , identifies risks, issues and creates action plans and manages them to closure • Produces quality assurance progress reports and detailed summaries • Participates in collaborative sessions such as defect triage and daily stand ups Experience Required • Data Analysis skills needed to create custom reports ( SQL, Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP, Macros, VBA, Charts & Dashboards) • Reporting skills including Charts, Tables, Diagrams, and • Documentation skills associated with meetings, checklists, templates and workflows • Experience reviewing work products associated with project management, business analysis, configuration management, development and testing to ensure assets are created with high degree of quality Experience Desired • Computer Science degree • Rational SDLC tool set certification or super user • Broad knowledge of quality assurance practices and techniques • Expertise with one or more of the following tools or tool types: o Rational Team Concert, Quality Manager and Requirements Composer o Intimate knowledge of defect tracking systems o Data query tools Skills Needed: • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with architects, developers, testers, business analysts and project managers. • Demonstrated flexibility to meet timelines generally associated with program deadlines (including off hours) • Organizational skills needed to maintain, archive and retrieve test assets efficiently • Highly analytical, needs to independently analyze data queries and be confident with findings / recommendations   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
