RFA Number CW14-JD-0012-0001 Submission Deadline : 8/18/2017 2:00 p.m Client : University of Massachusetts Medical School, Commonwealth Medicine Description : SCOPE OF SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED: The QV shall provide three (3) Sr. Engineering System Administrators to support the UMMS IT Hosted Services Department with the implementation of multiple Enterprise-level initiatives. This position will report to the IT Director of Hosted Service. The successful candidate will work in a team environment with other technical, consulting and operations staff in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment. Specific goals for the contract resulting from this RFQ include: • Involved in the implementation and maintenance of major subsystems • Acknowledge and resolve user service requests utilizing the service request management system • Frequently contributes to the development of new theories and methods • Develop resolutions to complex problems that require frequent use of creativity, use judgment within defined policies • Contribute to the development of organizational goals and objectives • Represent the organization as the principle customer contact • Perform other duties as required. Required Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or equivalent experience. • 6 years of related work experience • Excellent oral and written communication skills • VMWare vSphere & vCenter 6.0 & 6.5 • Windows Server (2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016) experience • Good understanding of common protocols and services, including: DHCP, DNS, FTP(S), HTTP(S), LDAP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, TCP, UDP, and the ability to support, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to these protocols. • Experience with Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) • Experience with Active Directory • Working knowledge of Networks and strong understanding of TCP/IP Preferred Qualifications: • Linux (RedHat, CentOS) • Experience using ServiceNow or other similar CMS / SKMS • Proofpoint Email Security • Infoblox DNS, DHCP • Experience with F5 load balancers • Experience with SSL Certificate Management • Experience with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) It is expected that the services of the QV will be required for up to forty (40) hours per week, but there may be certain projects that require additional time. The University anticipates that it will require the services of the Sr. Engineer System Administrator beginning as soon as possible but not later than August 31, 2017. It is anticipated that these services will be needed for a period of twelve (12) months and will be located primarily in Shrewsbury, MA. It is possible that the term will be extended for a period of time not to exceed the maximum amount of time allowed under the RFA, depending upon budget and business requirements and upon agreement of the Parties The University anticipates that it will select one (1) or more QV(s) (at the discretion of the University) to negotiate a contract(s) based on this RFQ on or before August 25, 2017.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
