Responsibilities and Duties • Actively participate in development and project planning sessions. Provide estimates for development efforts efficiently and appropriately. • Work with mentor as needed during the development process. • Enhance existing applications to improve performance, flexibility and maintainability of system. • Follow best practices and maintain good coding standards. Perform Code review process. • Work with third party vendors to address vendor related technical issues. • Develop and Execute unit and integration test. Work across teams for end to end testing. • Work with Administrators. Responsible for setting up application jobs, finetune configurations. Support Non-Production environments. Set up proper monitoring on the application • Work with QA team to create test data. Ensure application meets required performance. • Utilize problem solving skills, offer permanent technical solution to reoccurring issues by analyzing root cause of the issues. Qualifications and Skills • Good work ethics. • Bachelors Degree in technology or information systems or equivalent work experience. • 0-2 years in IT, specifically in the technical design, development and implementation of business systems. • Programming proficiency in Object Oriented Programming. Any scripting knowledge is a plus. • Knowledge of design patterns. XML development, XSL development. • Knowledgeable in one or more of the following areas: database concepts, multi-tier and multi- platform application development, distributed processing, understanding of systems design • Knowledge of testing concepts, debugging tools and job scheduler. • Analytical skills are required. Strong problem solving skills are required. • Able to collaborate within team and across teams • Basic understanding of code life cycle is a must.
