Through MHC, Maryland residents explore health insurance plans, compare rates, and determine their eligibility for advanced premium tax credits (APTC), cost sharing reductions (CSR) and public assistance programs such as Medicaid and the Maryland Childrens Health Insurance Program (MCHP). MHBE seeks one (1) Senior Systems Architect (Infrastructure) to provide architectural design and onsite support for MHBE Infrastructure. The Senior Systems Architect (Infrastructure) will provide services related to the planning, architecting, setup and maintenance of core IT infrastructure capabilities, including but not limited to, hardware and equipment, operating systems, database software, middleware, cloud and other related technology that supports mission critical systems. Duties / Responsibilities Provide Architectural design and support for MHBE Infrastructure. Plan and administer all IT infrastructure and cloud computing programs that have broader scope and major impact on the Exchanges functions. Design and implement the information systems that support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization. Work with vendors/consultants to ensure that the computer system platform provides sufficient computing resources to deliver the desired level of business performance. Ensure that MHBE systems are compliant with current with existing legislation, state, federal, CMS, and IRS polices and regulations. Implement the enterprise architecture and the development and maintenance of the organizations computing/IT environment. Configure and manage VPN installation and maintenance. Assist MHBE networking staff with desktop support. Participate in meetings regarding projects, hosting and data center services, product evaluations, and other activities. Adhere to all MHBEs standard processes, procedures, and guidelines. Note: The candidate must have the flexibility to work overtime, as needed, to include weekends, holidays, and off-hours. Minimum Qualifications For minimum qualifications, see the labor category description in the MHBE IT IDIQ RFP for the subject RFR labor category. In addition, qualified candidates should, in general, meet the minimum qualifications specified below. Please refer to RFP Section 2.6.1 Minimum qualifications for substitution requirements. Candidates that do not meet minimum qualifications will be deemed not reasonably susceptible for award and will not progress to full evaluation. Labor Category/s (From Section 1 Above) Minimum Qualifications Architect, Systems (Senior) A minimum of five (5) years of experience with architecting large scale enterprise IT solutions. A minimum of seven (5) years of experience as an Infrastructure Architect/Engineer. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing enterprise networks. Experience with Security Configuration Baselines. Demonstrated experience architecting large-scale IT enterprise projects in dynamic and fast-paced environments. Demonstrated experience coordinating across multiple groups and interacting with various teams to achieve successful outcomes.
