Eventually take responsibility for either Enhancement work and/or some aspect of longer term initiatives as needed. The InSite application is on a SharePoint platform. It primarily pulls content and other information from sources around the organization and packages/organizes that content so that it is easily accessible by our GIS business unit. Several application enhancements are desired. In addition to enhancing the current application on the current platform, the team will be working on a number of longer term initiatives (which may or may not impact our platform decision) to roll the application out to additional business units, enhance the user experience (look and feel, improved search capability, home page personalization) and investigate options to provide access to site content from mobile devices.
