This is a 6+ month contract position and the pay rate is flexible depending on experience. Here are the details: Position: QA Engineer Location: REMOTE (Preferable Local to Chicago or Portland, ME) Rate: Negotiable Duration: 6+ month Our client is expanding this Development team and are looking for Senior QA Engineers to join their back-end or front-end team. Requirements Develop test strategies. Automate tests using test frameworks. Write moderately complex code/scripts to test systems. Take responsibility for monitoring product development and usage at all levels with an eye toward improving product quality. Create test harnesses and infrastructure as necessary. Utilize innovative testing technologies to develop products testing strategy. Participate in design and code inspections. API level testing. Perform manual testing when required, ideally with an eye towards automation Analyze test logs; create test reports, and co-ordinate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders. Education/Experience: BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years core development experience as a Software QA Engineer. 2 years of development and/or test automation experience. Qualifications: Demonstrable experience in writing clean code quickly. Preferably Java coding. Experience in writing web based product testing frameworks and automation tools.
