Job Description Engineer: Linux Servers, AIX Operating System, VMWare Environment, Unix Shell Scripting PERL

* 5 years experience managing server Infrastructure running Redhat Enterprise Linux, AIX 6 or AIX 7 operating systems
* Experience with managing Linux in a VMware environment
Proficient in LPAR configuration, installing clients using NIM, and AIX patching
* Experience with Unix shell scripting, sed, awk and PERL
Desired Skills: Managing and supporting Servers in a EMC SAN environment.
* Symmetrix BCV, SRDF operations Ability to configure AIX LPM via NPIV.
* SAN Administration experience desirable
* SUN and HP experience are desirable

Responsibilities:
Level 1/2 support, On-call support.
Provide support for Annual patch cycle, including coordinating and implementing required operating system patches
Build AIX LPARs and Linux VMware guests within the determined SLA Consult with application teams to ensure server resources are architected and configured to requirements.
