This position requires the ability to understand business processes and sharp problem solving skills to support systems. Previous work experience in applications administration with emphasis on supporting enterprise applications, with a background in application support, application implementation and development or supporting payroll systems preferred. Additional responsibilities include: Support existing applications, training end-users on new functionality, and providing written documentation. The position requires a strong self-starter who is able to manage multiple competing priorities on a daily basis. Strong communication and administrative skills are a must. Scope of activities: Provide installation, configuration, and support for the Kronos application. Work with customers and the vendor team to troubleshoot and resolve application issues. Install, configure, tune, troubleshoot, and apply patches to the assigned applications. Provide off hours support, as needed, to support product updates, equipment upgrades, and technical issues. Support the application upgrade process by testing upgrades, patches, and changes in a test environment and subsequently work with the vendor to roll the changes into the production environment. Develop and enhance procedures for installing, configuring, and testing applications. Provide on-call services on a periodic schedule for customer and application support. Act as a point-of-contact to answer customer inquiries concerning system software and applications. Work as a team member with other technical staff, to ensure smooth operation between systems and applications. Work with the functional teams to develop specifications for Kronos configuration changes and coordinate testing of the development of new functionality within the Kronos application and integration with other systems. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed. Assist in developing and enhancing the business continuation plan. Skills: At least 5 years of professional experience Bachelor Degree preferred Knowledge and experience in supporting users in Kronos system modules such as Timekeeper, Attendance, and Record Manager. Knowledge of the interfaces to and from Kronos workforce central Specific experience in implementing the Kronos application in Manufacturing environments is preferred Possesses strong collaboration and communication skills. Work effectively with a distributed team, across time-zones with moderate supervision. Experience in Word, Excel and advance knowledge of tables and SQL concepts as related to Oracle and SQL server.
