Description : Project Manager. Oakland County is seeking two experienced project managers to join the Application Services team. We are seeking a hands-on, self-starter and team player that possesses both technical and people skills. This person must be flexible and able to multi-task as we are usually working under deadlines set by external agencies to align information technology solutions with the business initiatives. Responsibilities: Under direction, this project manager will become a key contributor supporting our Application Services applications and manage a variety of projects which include request for proposals (RFP), infrastructure upgrades, application enhancements and new development with COTS/vendor applications with multiple integrations and/or internally developed applications. Possesses high level understanding in the areas of project management methodology, web application programming, content management systems, API, database and system design. Identification of the technical approach to be used on a given project and manages the system development process; Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact with all levels; Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners and subject matter experts; Manage scope throughout the project duration; Manage all individual project tasks at a detailed level both by interfacing with team members, correlating work to a Work Breakdown Structure, and ensuring that team members track time appropriately to project tasks; Manage tasks and resources relating to support, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications for County Departments, where applicable.
