You will work closely with DevOps teams to refine their SQL scripts, assist in application release deployments and support any database break-fix type requests. On a day to day basis, DBA will be on point to run database health checks and troubleshoot / remediate any findings. You will be required to participate in Production On-Call rotation. Primary Responsibilities: • Installation, configuration and administration of SQL 2016/2014 and other supported lower version of Microsoft SQL Servers • Monitor/ Remediate alerts and provide Operational support for SQL databases • Maintain all functions of database systems, including access, device allocations, validation checks, security, documentation and statistical methodology. • Design and architect various high availability and disaster recovery solution as well long term archival process. • Experience on different type of database backup, replication, recovery, restoration, solutions. • Knowledge on Azure or cloud based solutions on SQL platform, supporting key business initiatives. • Experience with automation and PowerShell scripting to build infrastructure for automation. • Support problem resolution; consult and advise in application design and tunings for SQL Server and SQLs. • Participation in product evaluations, design review session, data requirement meetings and consulting with application development products • Review technical documentation to verify compliance with client requirements and established architectural standards and guidelines • Perform DB patching, investigate and remediate vulnerabilities. Required Qualifications: • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field • 5 + years of Microsoft SQL Server database administration experience • Experience with SSRS and SSIS • 4 + years of production support experience • Willingness and ability to provide rotational 24x7 on-call support • Willingness and flexibility to cross train in new DBA technologies and tools as part of todays DevOps landscape • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: • Power shell experience • Oracle and MySQL experience • Professional experience in the Health Care industry   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
