Responsible for working on medium to high architectural impact projects, recommending exceptions for high level projects, reviewing and approving medium architectural impact designs, communicating the strategy and direction to both management and systems related teams within their line of business sub-domain (organizational unit) and directing implementation of the architecture for their organizational unit. Serves as the highest-level technical consultant to internal clients and technical management to ensure conformity, having expertise across a broad portion of the organizational units architecture, or in-depth expertise within a more specific portion of the architecture. The position includes the following responsibilities: Project Architecture Responsible for working on high architectural impact projects in technology area. Work with business teams to analyze project requirements as a foundation for architecture designs Produce project architecture designs encapsulated in Systems Architecture Specification documents using industry standard modeling languages and practices Provide non-functional requirements for projects, especially security requirements for new and existing applications. Review project design with special focus on security, make sure that all the best practices are followed. Make sure that the enterprise security policies and standards related to application development are followed in the project. Requirements: 10+ years design and planning experience in systems, applications or IT Architecture. 2+ years of experience with software architecture design principles and designing software solutions 4+ years of web design and development experience using .NET or Java technology Knowledge and understanding of application development, infrastructure, and architecture environments Knowledge and understanding of applications: architecture, design, business functions, interfaces, dependencies, processing windows, volumes Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology architecture design concepts, strategies, and standards A good understanding of integration architecture principles, system to system communication in real time and batch methods. A good understanding of security requirements such as secure development, secure coding, encryption, secure interfaces, good understanding of security threat models.
