Submission Deadline: 8/19/2020 2:00 PM CDT Start Date: 11/20/2020 End Date: 11/19/2021 Client: DHS Description: MNIT@DHS is issuing this event to secure a Quality Assurance Data Management Tester resource with strong experience performing data management testing in large and complex systems development projects. This Quality Assurance Data Management Tester is needed to bring several active, high visibility System Modernization projects to successful completion. The Quality Assurance Data Management Tester will work on DHS Systems Modernization projects such as ISDS, MMIS, and METS as determined by the States Project Manager. The Quality Assurance Data Management Tester will be responsible for performing all data management testing activities for the System Modernization IT portfolio of projects. These will include several cross-agency projects with key collaborators from MNsure, MNIT@DHS and the Department of Human Services (DHS). The successful responder will be expected to develop and execute data management test plans for all phases of testing, communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with all resources involved in a project, and report defects in a timely and accurate fashion while managing multiple priorities and fostering an environment of team building and coordination. The Quality Assurance Data Management Tester will mentor and support other team resources on MNITs established Quality Assurance Best Practices. It is the ongoing commitment of MNIT to provide technology solutions that are reliable and flexible enough to meet fluctuating customer demand and increasing expectation of 7x24x365 system availability, all while decreasing ongoing support expenses. Sample Tasks • Write complex SQL queries/writing SQL scripts • Perform Database/Data Warehouse Testing/BI Reports Testing • Perform Data/Functional/Regression/System Integration/Backend/Negative Testing • Identify and analyze test data • Perform test data creation and/or mining • Manage QA test environments which may include requests for data refresh or snapshots of non-prod environments • Read and analyze Business Requirements documents to gather technical information • Create RTM (Requirement Traceability matrix) document • Develop QA Process flow diagrams • Create all types of testing documents in support of Data testing: Test Template, Test strategy, Test case, Test Plan, Test data, Test scenarios, Test Closure & Test Reports • Create Test schedules to include milestones, tasks and timelines in accordance with project scope • Testing Mainframe Applications, Reading JCL and TSO Datasets • Review and Approve the Requirements/Functional Specification/Design documents/Data Mapping documents to identify the gaps and ensure the requirements are as per the project needs and are testable • Create Bug/Defects, conduct defect triage meetings and perform retesting of defects • Recommend performance improvements and optimization of SQL, Stored Procedures and Structure/Design implementations • Participate in design review and decision making meetings while providing inputs on design improvements • Prepare Clarifications spreadsheet • Perform walk through of testing artifacts • Provide level of effort and capacity planning for work assignments and change requests • Provide knowledge transfer to State staff Minimum Qualifications • Five (5) years experience in Quality Assurance Analyst role o A Masters degree substitutes for three years of experience, or a Bachelors degree substitutes for two years, or an Associates degree substitutes for one year • Two (2) engageme   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
