CST Client : Minnesota State (MS) Description : Minnesota State is seeking Professional/Technical Services to supplement its workforce to provide work on the full life-cycle management of all Minnesota State Windows Server Systems enterprise-wide, as well as the client systems that are part of our managed computing services practice. We are seeking a resource to support the Minnesota State Windows-based operating systems and technologies, hardware and software appliances, VMWare products, and other related systems and applications items to ensure continued and optimal delivery of services. Responsibilities include design, engineering, implementation, installation, configuration, backup and recovery, performance monitoring, operational security, maintenance, scripting, troubleshooting and documentation of physical and virtual systems in order to ensure optimal use and high availability of Minnesota States infrastructure systems. This position requires advanced specialized technology knowledge in the above areas working on overall system problems. Having additional staff on this project will help to provide an effective enterprise-wide life-cycle management plan for all Minnesota State Windows Server Systems to serve the needs of our customers. Mandatory Qualifications Resource(s) will initially be scored as pass/fail. Thereafter, proposals where the resource(s) meets the Mandatory Qualifications will be scored in part on the extent to which the resource(s) exceeds these mandatory minimums. (See RFO Evaluation Process, below.) • Vendor must propose an hourly rate at or below vendors Max Hourly Rate for the category. • Five (5) years of Windows® systems administration including experience working with utilities, scripting languages and systems security used in Windows® environments. • Two (2) years of experience working with VMware virtual server environment. • Five (5) years of experience with server administration to include virtual and physical servers, disaster recovery and data backups. • Three (3) years of working with networking fundamentals on integration of services and security of an enterprise network. • Three (3) years of PowerShell scripting abilities Desired Skills • Experience with vROps, VSAN, VMware View, Liquidware Profile Unity and Stratosphere UX • Possesses industry recognized certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, VCAP and/or VCP or commitment to obtain it • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
