The description must specify the tasks to be completed for each deliverable and the time frames in which the tasks will be completed. The Offeror shall provide a work breakdown structure or project plan. The Offeror must also state when status reports will be provided and what will be included in those reports. The work covered by this PAQ is to provide for monitoring, maintaining, trouble shooting, and repairing key middleware applications and migrations for both Informatica and Computer Associates (CA) Gen to ensure that The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) infrastructure operates efficiently and provides the highest degree of availability on a 24 hours per day, 7 days a week basis. Key MoDOT applications such as the Transportation Management System (TMS), the MoDOT datamart, and Disaster Recovery (DR) infrastructure are dependent upon middleware support with underlying key MoDOT infrastructure requirements. These systems are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Offeror must be available to help with any issues that may arise during this timeframe affecting the core functionality of the application, including an on-site presence. Middleware is a software that mediates between application software and other software facilities such as a database. It manages the interaction between disparate applications across the heterogeneous computing platforms. Middleware is an “intermediary.” This type of software is used in complex environments and it doesnt necessarily represent one-to-one interactions between software agents. Middleware is essential to Enterprise Application Integration (EAI). Middleware Software Administration is necessary for a successful middleware infrastructure. Expert knowledge of the software on which the application resides is required.
