Submission Deadline: 8/14/2018 2:00 p.m. Central Time Start Date: 9/24/2018 End Date: 6/30/2019 Client; Missouri Department of Transportation Description; The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is currently seeking an administrator to provide technical leadership as a service and the day-to-day support and administration of MoDOTs Computing Systems team as defined by MoDOTs Information Systems Division. MoDOTs Computing Systems team provides support for MoDOTs servers, desktops, data and printers. This includes, but may not be limited to, windows server support, Linux server support, data backup and recovery, printer support, desktop support, desktop management, security and patching, storage and active directory. This is an urgent, business critical PAQ to provide technical analysis, leadership, architectural guidance, and expert level direction to the Computing Systems team. This resource must have excellent communication skills and be able to provide guidance and break down complex issues with staff. The expected duties include, but may not be limited to, the following: • Assess current environment, architecture, and infrastructure • Ability to guide and provide oversight of staff in the areas of storage environment, data center activities, end user security, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and other related Computing Systems disciplines • Assist with guidance and technical leadership on transition of MoDOTs Data Center to the Office of Administrations Data Center • Assist with guidance and technical leadership in the area of cloud services, specifically Microsoft Azure • Assist with guidance and technical leadership in root cause analysis • Monitor daily, weekly, monthly tasks or assignments • Participate, analyze, and guide staff in capacity planning for the infrastructure • Provide tools and procedures for resources provisioning • Guide staff in documenting processes and procedures • Develop and implement plans related to activities, such as installations, upgrades or repairs, including back-out plans • Outstanding communication skills • Excellent troubleshooting skills • Ability to provide after-hours team and guidance support • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team • Initiative to research and help guide the team to resolve problems • Provide direction regarding security and patching Contract period is from Date of Award through June 30, 2019. However, MoDOT wishes to reserve the right to renew for two (2) additional one year periods. MoDOT desires to ensure seamless consistency in support on key systems. This provides efficiency in operations and complete knowledge transfer to staff. In the event MoDOT exercises such right, all terms and conditions, requirements and specifications of the PAQ shall remain the same and apply during the renewal period. Minimum skillsets required by the individual performing the work under the resulting contract should include: • 5+ years experience with IT infrastructure design and implementation • 5+ years experience with managing computing systems, as defined above • 5+ years IT supervisory experience • 5+ years with VMWare Desktop and Server Virtualization • 5+ years with security and patching administration • 3+ years of budget oversight and approval • Experience with and working knowledge of configuring servers for peak performance, including storage • Experience with IT infrastructure, specific to data centers and end user equipment and deployment • Strong focus on storage capacity planning and performance tools • Mus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
