Description:

we are seeking a technical resources for a PeopleSoft upgrade. Health and Wellness Division staff use PeopleSoft to track and administer benefits for approximately 9,100 MoDOT and Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) active employees and retirees. Currently, MoDOT is licensed for the Human Resources and Benefit Administration modules and would like to add a new implementation for eBenefits (employee self-service). The application does use a payroll interface. The upgrade from version 9.0 to version 9.2 (PeopleSoft Tools version 8.46 to current version) should be like for like with no new functionality, but customizations should be reviewed to see if new functionality can replace customizations. The implementation of the upgrade must be completed by December 1, 2021, as the operating systems (Windows and Linux) are unsupported.

we has limited technical resources for the implementation/upgrade. An augmented approach is necessary to offset costs of the implementation, as we has a limited budget. Additional technical and functional support from a vendor is needed.

Responsibilities

A successful technical resource must be able to perform technical and functional support and engage with MoDOT Information Systems Division staff to upgrade the Departments PeopleSoft application and tools. The responsibilities include:

• Loading the PeopleSoft application software on Windows and Linux operating systems (operating systems will be built internally)

• Installing and configuring the new PeopleSoft version

• Using an automated upgrading tool (Upgrade Compare) to compare process

• Creating a SIT and/or DEV database and environment

• Applying necessary PeopleSoft fixes ad helping to reapply customizations

• Making the final move to Production.

• Serving as a liaison between the business partner and the technical/application team with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate

• Helping determine acceptable solutions and resolving complex technical issues in a timely manner.

The technical resource(s) will also be responsible for

• Serving as a technical resource in support of MoDOTs PeopleSoft benefit system upgrade

• Helping create upgrade plan, including tasks and roles

• Performing system and regression testing as required

• Providing knowledge transfer as determined by MoDOT
Qualifications

• A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field

• Five (5) years minimum PeopleSoft experience

• Experience in multiple modules, including Human Resources, eBenefits (employee self-service), Payroll Interface

• Successful completion of multiple major upgrades to PeopleSoft 9.2

• Experience performing major upgrades to PeopleTools

• Experience applying PeopleSoft bundles, fixes and images to environments

• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Application Designer, Application Engine, Change Assistant, Data Mover and Integration Broker.

• Extensive knowledge and experience of SQL and tuning SQL

• Experience with PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA), databases, process schedulers and tuxedo application servers.

• Established track record of completing solo installations of PeopleSoft 9.x on all tiers

• Thorough understanding of Patch and Fix application update process

• Strong verbal, written skills to accurately report status of project

• Proven professional demeanor when working with business partners to achieve project deliverables
