This funding expires in fiscal year 2013. On September 26, 2013, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon launched a new initiative called Export Missouri. State funding will be provided to enable the Export Missouri Initiative to expand export services to more than 500 Missouri businesses during the next fiscal year and further. To provide expanded services to businesses exporting goods to other countries and to help support this initiative, a new export directory will provide customized export support services to Missouri firms. The web portal will identify agents, distributors, customers and other types of business partners in targeted markets based on the products and services offered. The new virtual trade project will be a web-based system to provide qualified trade leads to Missouri firms. The Department of Economic Development and the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) are requesting assistance with Phase I of the Export Initiative. This phase will consist of creating a web based portal, database and business to business directory.
