MDC staff is already working with vendor Vueworks for implementation. This Project Manager will provide project coordination with the IAMS project. The Project Manager will attend the Weekly Program Status Report meeting, weekly Project Status Meetings, and other project meetings as needed. They will work with the appropriate MDC team members to implement the recommended guidelines, frameworks, and best practices. • Be responsible for the oversight and coordinated planning, prioritization and execution of the Infrastructure Asset Management software implementation project. • Ensure that the best possible use is made of suppliers and dedicated and shared project staff across the project. • Coordinate with the Lands and GIS Data Model projects managers. This will include meeting regularly with the PMs and Core Team members to discuss the specific issues/concerns on their individual projects, with a program perspective. • Attend and contribute in the program level status meeting. • Evaluate and manage project/program level risks and issues. • Contribute to Project level status reports for the software implementation, produced by VUEWorks. • Take the three project level status reports(produced by VUEWorks) and roll them up to produce a program level status report, using template provided by MDC. • Monitoring project progress and performance. • Reviewing project requests for change to scope to evaluate any impact to the project/program. Project Approach and Scope of Work: Implementation of this Project will need to be coordinated with the Infrastructure Asset Management Pre-Implementation BMPs Phase 3, MDC Lands Customization team and the agencys GIS program. 1. Approach: The vendor must provide a project manager who is responsive to MDC Program Manager and the MDC-D&D Project Sponsor. 2. Scope of Work: Project Scope includes the following: • Oversight and management of VueWorks vendor staff, as well as MDC staff, throughout the implementation project in accordance with PMI Project Management Professional standards. • Developing a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Project Schedule in conjunction with the VueWorks vendor and MDC staff. • Maintaining the WBS and Project Schedule using the web-based Project and Portfolio Management toolkit, Power Steering. AGENCY TASKS and/or RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide access to MDC staff and management as needed to resolve project issues; and • Provide access to MDC resources based on the resource allocation as documented and agreed upon in the Project Plan; and • Provide access to individuals within the MDC staff who have the domain and system expertise needed to facilitate the completion of the project on schedule; and • Provide access to individuals within the MDC staff who have sufficient expertise in the use and operation of the systems and applications within the scope of the project, as needed to stay on schedule.
