Job Description Engineer: Spring Boot, Java Experience, Microservices Experience, Core Java CICD AWS

Description:

Were looking to bring on 2-4 developers to create an orchestration layer leveraging microservices for cloud connectivity, a project known as Dynamic Connections, https://www.centurylink.com/business/help/mylevel3/orders/dynamic-connections.html. The goal is to create an on-demand network fulfillment portal that will pull data across all of their network (which has grown to be quite complex as a result of multiple acquisitions). The legacy system is created in C++ and most of the processes are manual. The new portal will be fully automated and enable cloud customers to access multiple CenturyLink products. While they still has some work for layer 2, the focus is shifting to layer 3.

We need software engineers proficient in Java and Spring Boot. Experience with APIs and microservices is a MUST. Deep knowledge of Networking and Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google is highly desired.



Software Engineer Description:

• Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications.

• Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git

• Should be strong in Core Java - (full stack developer) with strong back-end querying through mongo/oracle/SQL.

• Must be able to technically and functionally adapt to the upstream/downstream flows - and will be the Lead guiding the respective sprint team.

• Should drive/deliberate actively during sprint planning meets to access/estimate scope of work getting defined.

• Experience with REST Web Services and Microservices architecture

• 2 years of development experience with REST services using Spring Boot or NodeJS/ExpressJS

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes in production

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins

• Must be collaborative, adaptable, and have good communication skills.

• Prior experience working on agile teams is desired
