The project is focused on enhancing a new Direct Certification software system for the School Nutrition program and will include the oversight of development activities, assembling the team for the project, assisting in training of school districts and performing other activities within the IT and School Nutrition division of the OPI. The Project Manager will be working with contracted vendors and OPI staff to perform the activities associated with these projects. Objectives: *Become familiar with the OPIs Direct Certification processes and IT infrastructure. *Gain a thorough understanding of the goals of the Direct Certification grant and structure a project to meet the goals of the grant. *Manage the process to engage resources to work on the Direct Certification enhancements. *Manage enhancements to the Direct Certification system. *Assist in performing tasks for the Direct Certification project including, but not limited to training schools on the Direct certification system, analysis of data collected via the system, help in resolving operational issues within the Direct Certification system and other duties within the system as assigned by the IT Division Administrator. *Perform project management and business analysis related duties on smaller IT projects throughout the agency as time and availability permits.
