MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Transform business requirements into sustainable BI solutions through the construction of MicroStrategy reports and dashboards Understand MicroStrategy architecture and how the tool interacts with the data warehouse model Expertise in transforming data into visually appealing dashboards that are easily consumed Proficient in MicroStrategys mobile dashboarding solutions for iPad and Android Successfully extend reporting architecture as new areas of functionality are introduced to the warehouse in a sustainable and supportable way Tune mobile and desktop reporting strategy for quick access to information through efficient SQL generation or cubing/caching strategy Write SQL scripts against the Teradata warehouse to support analysis, discovery, and testing of reports Understand the cable industry and understand business context of the data Understand and execute proper development practices through a standard BI SDLC Understand the fundamentals of a dimensional data warehouse model and how to optimize the way data is organized for consumption in MicroStrategy Support and document reports in a way that maximizes end user efficiency Quickly iterate and prototype on key business initiatives to arrive at a finished product that aligns with end user expectations Contribute reporting ideas and innovations to business customers through delivery Perform other duties as requested REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Expertise in the entire MicroStrategy v10 toolset and Teradata 14.10 Strong SQL skills Outstanding communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) Self-motivated with an ability to confidently execute independently with little direction Ability to analyze and apply critical thinking to resolve complex issues Outstanding organizational skills Strong problem solving skills Ability to work well under pressure Strong team and relationship building skills Ability to prioritize requests and set expectations Desire to grow/learn/succeed Knowledge in data warehousing concepts and star-shema architecture Cable experience strongly preferred Meticulous attention to detail Motivation to stay up-to-speed on industry best practices and new technologies Aptitude to manage delivery of reporting solutions Strong technical writing skills Consulting experience Education Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or business related field, or related work experience Related Work Experience Number Of Years MicroStrategy report development 3+ Data Warehouse design/development 3+ SQL Query Design 3+ WORKING CONDITIONS Office environment   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
