Analyzes business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign computer solutions. Develops original and/or complex code or provides coding guidance to less experienced staff. Performs modeling, simulations and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by assisting with the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Participates in overall systems testing. Assists with the migration of applications to production. Develops new documentation, participates in the development of department technical procedures and designs user guides. As an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and assists with updating and testing of the business continuation plan.: 5+ years application development and implementation experience. Additional Job Details The Learning Common Intake Tools project will be funding additional resources to accelerate the development of a new application to support and measure work requests submitted from multiple LOB partners. The system will be a net new development project integrating with the SumTotal Learning Management System and K2 Blackpearl workflow engine. In addition to the experience in the job description, the ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications. This position is for a back-end Oracle PL/SQL developer that can work in a team with additional database and .net application developers for a complex request workflow management system. This application will be developed under a fast-paced project schedule. The candidate will require good time management skills and attention to detail. Minimum: Oracle database design and development for business applications -- 4+ years Solid background with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL coding (package, triggers, functions) -- 3+ years Good understanding of translating business process logic to physical data modeling and ERD Able to write design documents based on business requirements and functional/technical design meetings Development of SQL queries with an emphasis on performance and system load Quickly learn and adhere to existing coding standards Good response on analysis and resolution of application and logic bugs Understanding of large scale enterprise application systems Strong verbal and written communication with both technical and business resources Optional Skills: Experience with an enterprise Learning Management System or other learning application.
