In this role, the candidate will be a senior DC Engineer/Architect who will participate and deliver on following activities: - Oversee the Data Center Architecture and Infrastructure using Best Practices as it pertains to Layer 2 switching , Layer 3 Routing, Network Security, Remote Access, Cloud Based Services, Virtualization, Scalability, Performance, Reliability and Redundancy for a multi-tenant environment. - Oversee the Design, Management, Scripting, Documentation and Training of all Data Center Products and provide Technical Leadership to the rest of the Infrastructure Scrum Team members. - Research, Analyze and Recommend New Technologies and Products to continuously improve the APL Data Center Architecture and Infrastructure. Design, Implement and Document Proof of Concepts before integration. - Create Business Processes, Best Practices, Standards, Templates and Operating Procedures to optimize Agile and Sprint overall productivity. - Collaborate with Systems Architects, Software Engineers and IT Management to ensure projects meet strategic initiatives. - Recommend new initiatives and programs to management team to save on resources, time and overall implementation and operating costs. Skills Required: The ideal candidate will have depth and breadth of knowledge and experience in - Senior IT Network Engineering/Architecture with over 20+ years of experience in converged LAN/MAN/WAN network Enterprise Architectures, Service Providers and Virtualized Cloud Architectures. Proven skills in Large Corporate IP Addressing Schemes, High Level and Low Level Design, Architecture, Standards Development, Best Practices, Routing and Switching, Core Data Center Design & Engineering, Large Scale Project Implementations, Backbone Design, Project Engineering and Management, Disaster Recovery, DMZ Engineering, Backup Solutions, Configuration, 3rd Level Support, Network Security, Capacity Planning, Product Testing, Application Baselines, Team Lead, Training and Documentation. Proven skills in delivery management, process improvements, translating complex business requirements, architecting and delivering enterprise level business applications, supporting strategic corporate objectives, risk mitigation, upholding IT project and lifecycle methodologies, delivering highly available, scalable, secure, and cost effective solutions to support business needs, reviewing existing and new IT technologies and applications in order to stay competitive in marketplace.
